A United Methodist Congregation serving the Field Store Community in Waller County, TX

A Place for You...
Sunday Worship @ 9:30 AM
You'll find caring individuals filled with Christian hospitality when you meet the folks at New Hope UMC.  Their mission to 'Love & Serve' others is apparent as they strive to reach out to their community and beyond through several outreach projects during the year.

Sunday Morning Worship services are casual but worshipful, offering congregational singing, prayer time, scripture, a biblically-based sermon. During worship, the children are invited to come forward for a special message from the Pastor geared just for them. Following this time, they are invited to go to Sunday School.

After worship, folks can spend time getting better acquainted and sharing their lives with one another as they enjoy a delicious meal
in the Fellowship Hall served every Sunday.
Holy Communion is served
every first Sunday during worship.

Meet our Pastor...Rev. Kevin M. Kissel
Pastor Kevin was appointed to serve New Hope United Methodist Church in July 2014. He has a bachelor's degree from Creighton University and a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Methodist University - Perkins School of Theology.  Prior to his calling into ministry in 1992, Kevin was in the Air Force for ten years serving his country as a Meteorologist. During this time he was stationed in Alaska, Hawaii, Illinois, Nebraska and Maine.

Kevin and his wife, Karen, are partners in ministry and find joy and purpose in helping others grow in their faith and their relationship with Jesus Christ. They believe it is important to visit with folks outside the walls of the church, getting to know them personally. They are grateful for their wonderful neighbors, the caring people they serve in ministry alongside, and the beautiful setting God has placed them in here in Waller County. Kevin also serves as the Pastor of Macedonia United Methodist Church located at 23391 Macedonia Road in Hockley.

In their spare time, Kevin and Karen make their way over to Southeast Texas to visit with family. They are blessed with five wonderful children, five fantastic daughter and son-in-laws and they consider serving as grandparents to thirteen grandchildren one of their greatest joys and responsibilities. Getting out in nature to connect with God and exploring new territory by hiking, cycling, kayaking, and camping is something they love and Big Bend National Park, the Ozark Mountains, and visiting Kevin's family in Upstate New York are some of their favorite destinations.
